Clapham follies

Thank you to Christine for hosting last night and to Christine’s brother in absentia. Looks like you’ve chosen a great book (although after the last one, it has a lot to compete with!)

BROOKLYN FOLLIES By AUSTER, PAUL

It has a tempting opening:-

‘I was looking for a quiet place to die. Someone recommended Brooklyn, and so the next morning I travelled down there from Westchester to scope out the terrain . . .’

He’s one of my favourites and I was just about to re-read The New York Trilogy so I’m giddy with contentment. The library service has got lots of copies scattered at various branches and all the usual ereader suppliers have it as well.
