April events

The Arkles hosted a lovely evening and got our iodine levels up with very moreish seaweed. Percy chatted with the visitors and later Melchett took a lot of joy from a skewer and some foil. I only got a profile shot but his whiskers are a 3-d glory.Melchett, modestly reluctant to pose Melchett, modestly reluctant to pose Rose gave us an well-curated list of books to pick from: mysteries with a historical and/or library theme (including The Name of the Rose, My Name is Red, Shadow of the Wind). The group narrowed it down to two and plumped for Hard-boiled Wonderland and the End of the World by Haruki Murakami which comes highly recommended. The runner-up was Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. Emily is our next hostess. The first Project Linus night went well. The team stitched up all of the building blocks and started joining them together. Here are some photos of the work in progress. Sara has volunteered to host the next session; if you missed the first one and would like to be included in the Doodle poll (to select a date for the next one) contact Hilary.disappearing nine patch cheerleaders Our cheerleaders: Charlie & Captain
